Returmatic was delighted to embrace this noble cause and offered its prompt assistance to the Hungarian DRS operator, MOHU.
The report by M1 highlights the exemplary initiative of the soldiers serving at the Kalocsa barracks: the beverage cans and PET bottles accumulated during the Danube riverbed sill elevation works taking place around the Paks Nuclear Power Plant are being collected separately by the troops, and the deposit refunds have been donated to the Kék Madár (Blue Bird) Foundation in Kalocsa, which supports sick children.
As a subcontractor of MOHU, our company mobilized a ReturMobil unit, providing a solution to the soldiers’ recycling challenges and stepping up to support a unique and somewhat extreme disaster prevention and management operation.
Supporting the community effort in Kalocsa, our company naturally performs the bottle collection and transport free of charge, and we will regularly return to the barracks throughout the entire duration of the works to collect new batches.
The campaign’s tally so far: over 4,500 redeemed beverage containers and HUF 224,000 in deposit refunds directly supporting the recovery of sick children.
